Thiruvananthapuram: A Ramzan prayer gathering, claimed to be the country’s largest where lakhs of believers will gather to seek the virtue of a thousand months, will be held at Swalath Nagar in Malappuram district on April 6. Laylatul Qadr (Night of Destiny) is the eve of spiritual gathering of millions of believers on the 27th night of Ramzan.All India Sunni Jamiyyathul Ulama general secretary Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar will inaugurate the event in the presence of Samastha president E Sulaiman Musliyar. Ma’din Academy in Swalath Nagar, Malappuram, is organizing this spiritual congregation. This is also the prayer congregation that will witness the gathering of the largest number of believers in the country, said the organizers on Saturday. A community iftar will be prepared for those coming for the prayer meeting. It will be the largest iftar gathering of its kind in the country, marking the occasion as a noble gesture of Islamic solidarity. The iftar, promoting the message of equality in Islam, will be fully compliant with green regulations, said the organizers. After Iftar, Tasbeeh, Awwabeen, Taraweeh and Witr prayers will be held at Ma’din Grand Mosque, Old Mosque and main ground.
