Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) held its Assist and Care drive, corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative on April 8 by delivering basic necessities such as cooking oil, rice and dried food to families in need residing in Kampong Sungai Liang.

Integral to its CSR strategy #RESPECT, the drive has been BMC’s charity deed since its inception.

The donations, comprising contributions from the management and staff aimed to alleviate the burdens of the needy, especially during the holy month of Ramadhan, while also spreading joy during Hari Raya Aidilfitri festivities.

BMC Deputy Chief Executive Officer Abdul Mu’izz bin Dato Paduka Haji Alikhan handed over the donations along with Kampong Sungai Liang village head Mohammad Haszrin bin Bagol and representatives of BMC’s Event Sponsorship Donation (ESD) Committee and employees.

“BMC remains committed to similar ventures that promote the well-being of the community in which it operates,” it said in a statement.

Armada Properties

Armada Properties Sdn Bhd reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) by conducting its annual charity drive during the holy month of Ramadhan, underlining its dedication to giving back to the community and supporting those in need.

During this year’s Ramadhan charity drive, Armada extended a helping hand to 25 less fortunate families, including single mothers and Muslim converts across the Brunei-Muara district. These families, categorised as ansaf fakir, under the Islamic Da’wah Centre and the Department of Community Development (JAPEM), received basic necessities to ease their burden during Ramadhan and in preparation for the Raya festivities.

Armada Chief Executive Officer Desmond Lim expressed; “We are pleased to help these families requiring assistance. Armada is committed to initiatives aimed at community welfare and ensuring meaningful contributions are made.”

Armada also contributed to several community-driven initiatives, including the Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre’s (PJSC) Ramadhan Donation Drive and Projeck Bina Ukhwah’s Jelajah Ramadhan project.

Facilitated through partnerships with PJSC’s Medical Social Work (MSW) Department and Hand for Hand, it aimed to support underprivileged patients and families.

Armada also demonstrated its appreciation for local emergency responders by donating to the Rimba Fire and Jerudong Fire Stations.

Chairperson of its CSR Committee Suhaila binti Hj Kabri led the delegation in presenting the donations.
